Irish Racing-Kilbeggan

The County Westmeath venue is the only racecourse in Ireland that does not holt flat meetings.

Ireland's love of National Hunt racing is well known, and it's telling that this jumps only course is Ireland's best attended. The course itself is undulating and right handed in shape. It's roughly one mile and a half in distance, and has an uphill finish.
Mick Halford, Noel Meade and Willie Mullins are the best performing trainers here and all have strike-rates greater than 25%. The best performing jockey over the past five years has been Paul Carberry, who shows a strike-rate of 27% and a healthy profit if blindly followed.

The favourite has a 35.4% strike-rate overall, but in non-handicap chases, that figure rises to 45.45% and breaks even to level stakes.Previous course winners have an 11.84% strike rate on their return.
