Xerez can escape from the relegation zone for the first time all season on Sunday when they play host to red-hot Sporting Gijón.
Xerez, despite getting only one point in their last three league games, can move out of the bottom three with a victory. They were held 0-0 at Valladolid before the international break, and they were also knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Mallorca.
Sporting, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last five league matches, including a 1-0 victory over Espanyol before the international break.
For Xerez, Antoñito is set to feature for the first time all season, and manager José Ángel Ziganda is not reporting any other major injury concerns ahead of the game.
Sporting have a few injuries to report as Diego Castro will not be able to play on Sunday, along with Cuéllar and Kike.
It will be a tough ask of Xerez against a very strong Sporting side, but do not count out the small Andalucian side at home in this one.
