Villarreal are holding on to their fourth spot in La Liga and their 1-1 home draw with Arsenal has made their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of the Champions League more difficult. They have lost two of their last three matches. Santi Cazorla will be out for the next three months after having undergone an operation for a broken leg. Cani and Bruno Soriano are also doubts for the Yellow Submarine and Robert Pires and Javi Venta are suspended.
Malaga is within a whisker of European qualification but their most resent form has not been as impressive as their earlier form. They have surprised their critics this season as the newly promoted side are enjoying a most successful season and are in line for a European place next season. Juan Jose Luque is the main fitness doubt for Malaga.
A draw is likely in this match.
