Just six days removed from a shock win at Hamburg, Bochum look to make their next move to escape the bottom three when they host Köln on Friday in the Bundesliga.
Bochum sit on 11 points from 13 games this season, but a win would move them all the way to 13th place, and to temporary safety. Last week, they stunned German football when they snapped a four-match losing skid with a 1-0 triumph over slipping Hamburg.
Köln, meanwhile, have moved to within a point of the drop zone on 12 points, and last week's 4-0 home defeat at the hands of Hoffenheim is still fresh in the players' minds. They had hit a recent run of form before the thrashing, and will be keen to put that result quickly out of mind.
Heiko Herrlich's Bochum side will be without the services of Algerian World Cup qualifying hero Antar Yahia with a knock, and he will be joined by Philipp Bönig, Mimoun Azaouagh and Zlatko Dedic on the sidelines.
For Köln manager Zvonimir Soldo, he will have to do without German international striker Lukas Podolski, who is suspended for the game after picking up his fifth booking of the year last weekend. The rest of the squad is free from injury.
Bochum will have to be wary of a letdown after last week's huge win, but Köln's loss at home was the equal, yet opposite, of Bochum's triumph. Look for Bochum to make it two straight on Friday, and climb from the cellar.
