US Città di Palermo vs. Genoa CFC, :

Luke Williams - 1 Nov 2009
Palermo host Genoa as this clash of mid-tablers takes place at the Stadio Renzo Barbera, as Week 11 of Serie A continues on Sunday. Palermo are still flying high despite their 5-3 defeat in Milan. The Rosanero collected three consecutive wins and a defeat against Inter was largely expected. Still Walter Zenga’s men were impressive for some spells of that game. Genoa won three vital points in midweek. They were in a deep crisis following three straight defeats and beating Fiorentina at Marassi was a great sign of improvement. For this game Zenga remains without Federico Balzaretti, out injured for a month. But Cesare Bovo returns in defence after suspension. Gian Piero Gasperini may field the same XI which beat Fiorentina. Domenico Criscito was hoping to recover in time for this game but will sit out. Giandomenico Mesto will play in the trident, he has been stunning so far. Argentine aces Hernan Crespo and Rodrigo Palacio will sit on the bench eagerly awaiting for a chance in the second half. Palermo and Genoa swapped ‘keepers during the summer and the Grifone clearly got the best deal getting Marco Amelia. The Sicilians will have Salvatore Sirigu since Rubinho has now become the second choice at the Barbera. REVIEW:
