Werder Bremen look to go back to the top of the Bundesliga on Saturday when they play host to reigning champions Wolfsburg at the Weserstadion.
Bremen sit a point behind of leaders Bayer Leverkusen - who play on Sunday- and come off of last week's 6-0 thrashing away to Freiburg. They are unbeaten in the league since opening the season with a loss at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Wolfsburg have not quite looked the side of a season ago that won their first German title, and they currently sit eighth in the table after last week's disappointing home loss to Nürnberg. They were also beaten 2-1 by CSKA Moscow on Tuesday in the Champions League.
Bremen manager Thomas Schaaf will not be able to count on Tim Borowski due to a knee injury, and Christian Vander and Claudio Pizarro are also out of action for the time being.
For Armin Veh's Wolfsburg side, Josué is suspended for yellow-card accumulation, and Jonathan Santana and Obafemi Martins are out because of injury worries.
Wolfsburg are reeling after a poor week of results, and a trip to Bremen is not quite the remedy. Look for a strong performancce and victory for the home side.
