SSC Napoli vs. AS Bari, :

Luke Williams - 6 Dec 2009
Napoli would look to take their unbeaten run to eight matches when they host Bari at Stadio San Paolo on Sunday. Napoli, though, haven't won in the league since their 3-2 comeback defeat of Juventus on October 31. They have scored just twice in all competitions since then and one of those goals came against Serie B side Cittadella in the Coppa Italia. Napoli will be bolstered by the return of Ezequiel Lavezzi for tomorrow's Serie A match against Bari. The Argentina forward has recovered from a thigh injury that saw him miss last weekend's 1-1 draw at Parma. Lavezzi is set to partner Marek Hamsik and Fabio Quagliarella in Napoli's attacking line tomorrow. Bari have been the surprise package of the season and much against the odds are now in touch of a European spot. The Galletti are comfortably perched on eighth place in the table with 21 points, just two points off a Europa League berth. Bari's success has been built on their strong defensive coherence. They have conceded just 11 goals in Serie A this campaign and boast the joint best defensive record with Inter in the league. They haven't scored too many goals but they have played intelligent football, maximising their resources. However, Napoli is no easy opposition although they have already defeated some stronger sides and would not be afraid of the home side's quality. Bari will be missing striker Vitalj Kutuzov and defenders Andrea Massiello and Andrea Ranocchia, all sidelined through injury. The hosts will be without defenders Salvatore Aronica and Matteo Contini, both suspended for tomorrow's encounter. REVIEW:
