Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol vs. Real Racing Club de Santander, 0:4

Luke Williams - 6 Dec 2009
Facing a run of poor form, Espanyol look to break a three-match losing streak in La Liga on Sunday when they play host to Racing Santander at Cornellà-El Prat. The three-match losing run follows a run of seven games unbeaten for the Catalan side, and they hit a low point last week when they were trounced 4-0 at Atlético Madrid. Racing, meanwhile, are second from bottom on seven points, all but one of which have been away from home this season. They were beaten a week ago 1-0 by Deportivo, and their own losing streak is now at four matches. Espanyol will be without the services of Moisés Hurtado in the holding midfield role due to injury. Captain Iván de la Peña also continues to be plagued by injuries, and he will not be in the squad on Sunday. Fernando Marqués, David García, and the suspended Facundo Roncaglia are also out. Racing manager Miguel Ángel Portugal has not reported any major injury concerns, and he should have a full squad at his disposal as he looks to break a run of four games without a goal. It is always hard to predict what will happen in a matchup of two teams in poor form. But the home pitch should favor Espanyol on Sunday as Racing seem unsure as to how to create a goal. REVIEW:
