Valladolid and Tenerife both look to gain some distance from the bottom three on Sunday when they square off in La Liga at the Zorrilla.
Valladolid, beaten 3-1 by Valencia last weekend, sit just three points above the drop zone in 15th place, narrowly ahead of Tenerife on goal difference. They have now gone three matches with a victory since a 4-0 thrashing of Deportivo on 25 October.
Tenerife, on the other hand, are yet to earn a point away from home on the season, losing all fives matches away from the Canary Islands. They suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Sevilla last weekend.
Valladolid will be without Pedro López and Sisi González due to injury, and Asier del Horno, Jonathan Sesma, Jacobo Sanz and Pelé are all left out of the squad by manager José Luis Mendilibar.
For Tenerife manager José Luis Oltra, defender Marc Bertrán continues to miss out due to injury, and Cameroon striker Daniel Kome will also be out of action for the islanders. Alejandro Alfaro is fit again and is named in the squad to travel.
Tenerife's road form, as mentioned earlier, has been sorry this season, but Valladolid have been less than convincing this season at home. Don't be surprised to see the visitors grab a precious point away from home.
