Surprise outfit Sporting Gijón look to continue their good season on Saturday when they play host to an improving Villarreal side.
Sporting, despite being held to a 0-0 draw at Xerez last week, have not lost in six league matches, and now sit seventh in the league table on 17 points.
Villarreal, after waiting until 25 October for their first win of the season, have won three of four games, including a 3-1 triumph ovver Valladolid at El Madrigal a week ago.
Manuel Preciado's home side welcome back defender Alberto Botia from the flu a week ago, and the manager have not reported any major injuries that would force a change from his recent squads.
Villarreal, however, are without out Santi Cazolrla and Cani due to injury, although there is an outside chance the latter could feature after picking up a knock on national team duty.
The spoils could be split here as a hot team comes on the road to play a side at the peak of their season.
