Red-hot Sporting Gijón look to consolidate their spot in seventh on Sunday when they host eighth-place Espanyol in La Liga action.
Sporting are unbeaten in their last four league matches, including last week's 1-1 draw away to Deportivo in Galicia. Sporting have also won four of their last six match-ups with Espanyol.
The men from Barcelona drew 1-1 at home with Valladolid in a disappointing result last weekend, but they are now unbeaten in seven consecutive league matches after losing their first two games of the season.
Sporting are without David Barral through suspension after he picked up his fifth booking of the year last week against Deportivo. Michel is also injured, but the squad is otherwise fit.
Espanyol, meanwhile, will continue to be without new captain Iván de la Peña, who has only made three appearances all season with injuries. Ferrán Corominas will also miss out for the Catalan side.
This will be a very tight encounter with both sides in form at the moment. Playing at home, though, Sporting should have a slight edge.
