Real Racing Club de Santander vs. Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña, 0:1

Luke Williams - 29 Nov 2009
Deportivo La Coruña can put themselves firmly in the race for the top four spots in La Liga on Sunday when they travel to take on Racing Santander. Racing have the dubious distinction of being the only side in the league this season without a win at home, and they have earned only one point at El Sardinero this season. They played hard before dropping a 1-0 result at Real Madrid last weekend. Depor, meanwhile, were 2-1 winners over Atlético Madrid last week on a dramatic late penalty by Andrés Guardado, and they have now won two of their last three league matches. New Racing manager Miguel Ángel Portugal - who made his debut last weekend - will have a healthy squad at his disposal, but he is expected to make some alterations in midfield as the looks to find a combination that suits him. Deportivo manager Miguel Ángel Lotina, however, is relieved to learn that Andrés Guardado's flu was not of the H1N1 variety. He should be able to feature on Sunday. Zé Castro will not play, however. Racing are yet to win at home this season, and it should not change on Sunday against a strong Deportivo side. REVIEW:
