Wednesday's Champions League match between Olympiakos Piraeus and Arsenal is really only important to the Greeks, who need a draw to defend their second place in Group H.
While Arsenal have their first place more than secured, Olympiakos aim to avoid a worst-case-scenario which has them lose to the Gunners while third-placed Standard Liege beat AZ Alkmaar in the other group game. If that happens, Standard would surpass Olympiakos based on their head-to-head record.
Things are going well for Olympiakos at the domestic level, and the side jumped into first place on the weekend thanks to a 0-1 win at Xanthi while arch rivals Panathinaikos dropped points.
Arsenal have not been quite as impressive in the Premiership. The Londoners did beat Stoke City 2-0 last weekend but lost the two previous league games and are currently in third place, eight points behind Chelsea.
When these two sides met at Emirates Stadium in September, Arsenal secured a 2-0 win with goals from Robin van Persie and Andrei Arshavin.
Olympiakos boss Zico has a number of absentees to overcome, as Matt Derbyshire, Andrea Vasilogiannis, Michal Zewlakow, Vassilis Torosidis, Cristian Ledesma, Jaouad Zairi, Leonidas Panagopoulos, Ieroklis Stoltidis and the influential striker Diogo are all expected to miss out.
Arsenal Wenger has no more luck, but the French manager is likely to leave some of his star players in England for this game.
As Arsenal will likely field a second-choice team, Olympiakos are favored to win or at least draw this match and advance to the next round.
