Málaga look to position themselves for a run out of the relegation zone on Sunday when they play host to Osasuna at La Rosaleda.
Málaga are in 18th place, but four points away from nearest side Tenerife, meaning they cannot escape the bottom three with a win. This side has not won since opening day, but have drawn their last three games, including a 2-2 result at Sevilla last week.
Osasuna, meanwhile, broke a four-match winless run last week with a 1-0 victory away to Zaragoza. That victory sent the Navarrans comfortably in 10th place in the standings.
Málaga manager Juan Ramón Muñiz will be without the suspended Albert Luque for the match on Sunday, and both Ibán Cuadrado and Daniel Toribio have been omitted from the squad. Brazilian defender Weligton is fit again and could feature from the start.
Osasuna go into the match without the services of veteran striker Walter Pandiani for the rest of 2009 with a muscle injury. Defender Nacho Monreal, midfielder Ludovic Delporte, and striker Javier Portillo are also out injured.
Málaga have improved in form as of late, but are still yet to win in 11 straight games. Look for a strong performance and possibly a long-awaited win for the home side.
