Juventus FC vs. FC Bayern München, 1:4

Luke Williams - 8 Dec 2009
There is everything to play for in Turin on Tuesday as Juventus and Bayern Munich square off in Champions League Group A to determine who will finish second in the group. Juventus are a point ahead at the moment and they come into the weekend on a high after beating Italian champions Inter Milan 2-1 on Saturday. They simply need to avoid a home defeat in order to advance. Bayern, meanwhile, must win to advance in this competition, or else they will have to settle for the Europa League round of 32. Bayern, who have shown improved form as of late, got a goal from Holger Badstuber to beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-1 on Saturday. Juve have several injury concerns ahead of the game as goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is a doubt with a knee injury, and Giorgio Chiellini has been confirmed out by manager Ciro Ferrara. Striker Vincenzo Iaquinta is also out of action. For Bayern, Franck Ribery will not play and Arjen Robben is a question mark. Luca Toni is not on the team sheet either with a groin injury. Striker Miroslav Klose will also miss out, leaving the side with just Mario Gomez and Ivica Olic at forward. Juve have not lost in 16 games at home in the Champions League, and Bayern will face a tough time in Italy. Look for Juve to get the result and advance. REVIEW:
