Juventus FC vs. FC Bayern München, :

Luke Williams - 8 Dec 2009
REVIEW: Both looking to snatch a massive three points in the opening game of Champions League Group A, Juventus and Bordeaux played out a tight 1-1 draw at Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday night. Juventus struggled from the outset to establish their dominance in the match, and the reigning French champions were equal to the task when it came to creating chances, although the Italians put more chances on target. It was Juve, however, that broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute when Fabio Cannavaro's pass found its way to the near-side post where Vincenzo Iaquinta slotted past Ulrich Ramé, who came on moments before for an injured Cédric Carrasso. But Bordeaux pulled on level terms in the 75th minute as Czech international Jaroslav Plasil tucked home from close range after a Yoann Gourcuff free kick was nodded into his path.
