Hertha BSC Berlin vs. TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen, 2:2

Luke Williams - 11 Dec 2009
Bottom side Hertha Berlin face yet another huge task on Friday when they welcome Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Hertha, mired seven points deep at the foot of the table, have not won since their opening fixture of the season. This puts them at a run of 14 games winless. Hertha struggled last weekend in a 2-0 loss away to Schalke. Leverkusen, meanwhile, missed a chance to go five points clear at the top of the table when they were held 0-0 by Hannover last Sunday, but they still have a three-point edge over Werder Bremen and Schalke at the head of the league. Hertha manager Friedhelm Funkel will go into Friday's clash without Timo Ochs with a muscle injury, and Christoph Janker is suspended after being sent off against Schalke. Marc Stein, Florian Kringe, Arne Friedrich and Christoph Gäng are also out with injuries. Leverkusen will be short Theofanis Gekas due to injury, and he will be joined out of action by Manuel Friedrich, Renato Augusto and Richard Sukuta-Pasu. Leverkusen should have no problems going six points clear at the top on Friday. REVIEW:
