Hamburger SV vs. VfL Bochum 1848, :

Luke Williams - 22 Nov 2009
Two weeks removed from a disappoiting draw at Hannover, Hamburg return to Bundesliga action on Sunday with a home match against second-from-bottom Bochum. Hamburg have slipped to fifth in the table with a run of four league matches without a victory, and it culminated before the international break with a 2-2 draw at Hannover, in which Hamburg conceded a late equalizer. Bochum, meanwhile, have been dreadful as of late, dropping four consecutive league outings, and they have not won since 25 September at Nürnberg. Prior to the international hiatus, Bochum dropped a 2-1 result at home to Freiburg. Hamburg have a number of injury concerns ahead of Sunday's match, that will leave them very thin on the bench and in the squad altogether. Alex Silva, Bastian Reinhardt, Romeo Castelen, Jonathan Pitroipa, Zé Roberto and Mladen Petric are all out of action for Sunday. Bochum have just one absence to report as Philipp Bönig misses out due to injury. The injury may have a slight hand in keeping this game closer than it should be. While Hamburg are still favorites to win at home, a result for Bochum would not be a massive surprise. REVIEW:
