Hamburger SV vs. Borussia VfL Mönchengladbach, 2:3

Luke Williams - 31 Oct 2009
Hamburg attempt to leapfrog Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the Bundesliga on Saturday when they play host to struggling Borussia Mönchengladbach. Hamburg gave up a late equalizer last weekend in a 3-3 draw at Schalke to prevent them from taking the league lead, and they also lost defender David Rozehnal to a red card in the match. Hamburg, though, are unbeaten through 10 league games this season. Gladbach have not been so fortunate, even despite a 0-0 draw with Köln last Saturday. Prior to the draw, Gladbach had lost five straight league games, and they sit just above the drop zone on goal difference. Hamburg will be without the aforementioned Rozehnal, and they have several long-term injury concerns that include Bastian Reinhardt, Romeo Castelen, Paolo Guerrero and Mladen Petric. Gladbach have lost Christian Dorda to a knee injury, and he joins Gal Alberman, Filip Daems and Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker on the sidelines. Hamburg have the skill, the form and the home advantage in this one. It will be a great shock to see the home side drop points on Saturday. REVIEW:
