Getafe look to get back in the race for the European places in La Liga on Sunday when they play host to bottom side Xerez at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
The home side were 2-0 winners at Espanyol last weekend, and they now sit ninth in the league standings, but could rise if results fall their way on Sunday. Last week's win was their first in the league in three games.
Xerez, meanwhile, are at the foot of table on goal difference, and they have just one victory on the season. They earned a point last weekend in a 0-0 home draw against Sporting Gijón.
Getafe manager Míchel will not have midfielder Adrián González available after not being named in the squad, but he is the only major injury concern for the Madrid side in this one.
For Xerez and manager José Ángel Ziganda, Giancarlo Maldonando is preferred to Antoñito up front, and midfielder Momo is set to miss out and leaves Carlos Calvo to fill the void in the center of the pitch.
Xerez appear outmatched by the home side in this one, and they have earned just two points away from home in five games. Getafe should be able to claim this one comfortably.
REVIEW:
A late penalty by Borja Valero earned Mallorca a valuable point in La Liga on Saturday in a 1-1 draw away to Valencia.
David Villa had early chances, including one goal ruled out for offside on 10 minutes, and strike partner David Silva had a shot go wide moments later, but Silva went off injured in the 28th minute.
Early in the second half, Valencia finally took the lead in the 48th minute when Villa notched his 10th of the season with a close-range finish after Ever Banega headed a corner into his path.
Mallorca goalkeeper Dudu Aouate was crucial in keeping the visitors in the match on the hour mark when Villa shot from inside the area, and he was fortunate 10 minutes later when Juan Manuel Mata missed a sitter.
Joaquín hit the post in the 74th minute as the misses continued to pile up for Valencia, and they were made to pay for them with five minutes to play.
Bruno Saltor hauled down Gonzalo Castro on an aerial challenge inside the area, and the referee wasted no time pointing to the spot. Borja stepped up and calmly beat César Sánchez to equalize.
