Deportivo La Coruña look to climb back into La Liga's top five on Saturday, but they face a tough task as they travel to face Getafe.
Getafe were beaten 2-0 by city rivals Real Madrid last weekend, but they can take some comfort in knowing they have won their last three league matches at home, although they lost at home to Depor last season.
Deportivo drew 1-1 at home against Sporting Gijón last weekend after a 4-0 thrashing by Valladolid in Round 8. This recent hiccup interrupted a string of four consecutive league wins.
Getafe will again be without veteran Romanian defender Cosmin Contra due to injury, and the Madrid-based side are also without Swiss international Fabio Celestini. The squad will otherwise remain unchanged from the side that lost to Real.
Depor, on the hand, have just one guaranteed absence as Juca failed to make the trip to the capital city as he nurses a leg injury. Miguel Ángel Lotina's side will otherwise be fit to go.
Getafe's strong home record this season will see them favorites, but it should be a very entertaining game that could swing in either direction.
REVIEW:
Deportivo La Coruña rose to fourth in La Liga on Saturday with a 2-0 victory at Getafe despite finishing the match with just nine players.
The match started well for Depor in the 13th minute when veteran striker Mista headed past Oscar Ustari after a wonderful left-wing cross by Filipe.
In the 26th minute, however, his strike partner Riki was dismissed for a second bookable offense after handling the ball, although he pleaded that the ball played him.
Depor manager Miguel Ángel Lotina was also sent from the touchline in the 35th minute after constantly protesting the dismissal of Riki, but his side made it to half-time in the lead despite pressure from Getafe.
Depor actually extended the league in the 59th minute when Filipe - who set up the first goal - knocked home a rebound after a scramble in the area.
The Galicians lost Sergio to a second yellow card in the 72nd minute, but they managed to hold out for a victory.
