Genoa will hoping for the win to keep their hopes of Champions League football next season alive while Juventus will be hoping to pick up any crumbs at the top should Inter Milan slip up between now and the end of the season.
For Genoa, in the past two years, Juventus is the only side against which they have failed to gain one point in two seasons. They will be hoping to overturn that statistic. Club top scorer Diego Milito is still unavailable through injury.
Juventus will be smarting for the two points that they dropped against Chievo in their 3-3 draw last weekend. Coach Claudio Ranieri is likely to name Jonathan Zebina and Mauro Camoranesi in his starting line up with Pavel Nedved a candidate for a place in the midfield, which lacked creativity last weekend.
A draw in a tense match is a possibility.
