Fulham host Bolton Wanderers looking to make it two home wins in four days following their 3-0 midweek victory over Blackburn Rovers.
The result moved Roy Hodgson's side up to 10th in the Premier League and they are on course for another top-half finish. No wonder then that the club's board of directors are so keen to offer him a new contract.
Hodgson himself confirmed a new contract with the club this week - a just reward after keeping the Cottagers in the top flight and then guiding them into Europe - and the canny boss is sure to get a great reception from the Fulham faithful.
Fulham pair Danny Murphy and Andy Johnson returned to training this week but are not expected to make the starting XI for the weekend clash against Bolton.
While Bobby Zamora undergoes a test, Diomansy Kamara is still absent suffering a knee injury.
Things have not been quite as comfortable for Bolton.Following a summer of strengthening, Megson's side still find themselves at the wrong end of the table after losing their last three games on the bounce in the top flight - including the 2-0 home derby loss to Blackburn last time.
But, ahead of the trip, Megson can at least take heart from the fact that his team have picked up more points on the road than at home this season and he will be looking for a positive performance at Craven Cottage.
Bolton midfielder Tamir Cohen could return to the squad following a groin injury.
Cohen was forced to sit out the derby defeat by Blackburn, which kept the side in the relegation zone, because of the problem.
Ricardo Gardner suffered a calf strain in that match and Jlloyd Samuel took a knock but both are expected to be available at Craven Cottage.
REVIEW:
Damien Duff salvaged a draw for Fulham against Bolton, who showed they were back to their snarling best by picking up a rare away point and six yellow cards in a bruising encounter at Craven Cottage.
German striker Ivan Klasnic had put the Trotters ahead with a shock goal in the 35th minute.Gary Megson's men then soaked up an almighty Fulham assault and looked set to seal a smash 'n grab win. But Duff popped up to level matters in the 75th minute.
The result keeps Bolton entrenched in the bottom three of the Barclays Premier League while Fulham stay 10th.
Fulham, not surprisingly, had made the better start to the game but they were still not in total command. In the 21st minute Nevland almost supplied the perfect pass for Zoltan Gera but again Steinsson read the danger before the Fulham man could execute a finish. Steinsson found himself in Bennett's notebook moments later though after he brought down Clint Dempsey with a clumsy challenge.
Jonathan Greening should have done better after robbing Gavin McCann of possession in the centre circle. The Fulham midfielder raced towards the Bolton goal but despite options either side, Greening chose to try his luck from 20 yards and fired high over the bar.
Greening was booked for a foul on Cohen seconds later but TV replays clearly showed that the Bolton man had dived and the Fulham midfielder had made no contact with him whatsoever.
Bolton were looking to avoid their fourth successive Premier League defeat and Gary Megson's side took a shock lead in the 34th minute through Ivan Klasnic.
The Bolton striker collected a header from Gary Cahill, turned Hangeland on the edge of the six-yard box and fired past Mark Schwarzer.
It was only Bolton's second goal in four games and came totally against the run of play
Fulham continued to press after half-time, with Dempsey having a long-range free-kick deflected on to the roof of the net and then seeing his header cleared off the line by Matt Taylor.
Duff curled a shot through a crowded penalty area but Jussi Jaaskeleinen made a good save, which the Finn surpassed moments later when he dived full length across his goal to tip over a blistering half-volley from Nevland, 25 yards from goal.
Bolton's yellow card tally rose to six when Jlloyd Samuel was booked for bringing down Duff in the 72nd minute.
But Fulham finally got their reward in the 75th minute when Duff collected a pass from Nevland and drilled a right-foot shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Duff was then just a yard away from scoring a winner in the 84th minute when his 20-yard drive flashed wide of the post.
