FC Bayern München vs. Borussia VfL Mönchengladbach, 2:1

Luke Williams - 4 Dec 2009
Bayern Munich can move up to third in the Bundesliga on Friday when they open round 15 of league play at home against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Bayern hit their stride last weekend in a 3-0 victory away to Hannover, a victory that saw them just four spots to fourth place in the Bundesliga. The Bavarians are unbeaten in four league games, although last week's game was their first win in that stretch. Gladbach, meanwhile have been in fantastic form, winning their last two matches. After last week's shock 1-0 victory over Schalke, Gladbach extended their unbeaten run to five games. Bayern are finally getting fit after a rash of injuries plagued them early in the season. Franck Ribéry is the only absence for the home side, and Miroslav Klose is fit again but will likely start on the bench. Gladbach continue to have a few injury concerns as Paul Stalteri and Filip Daems are set to miss out. Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker, Christian Dorda and Gal Alberman are also long-term absences for the visitors. Both sides are playing strong football at the moment, but last week's performance may have signaled the turnaround for Bayern. Look for a strong performance from the home side in this one on Friday.
