Eintracht Frankfurt vs. VfL Bochum 1848, 2:1

Luke Williams - 1 Nov 2009
Desperate to rise out of the bottom three, Bochum travel south for a Sunday tie in the Bundesliga against Eintracht Frankfurt. Bochum have just one win in their last seven Bundesliga matches, and they currently sit second from bottom with eight points. They could rise as high as 12th with a victory on Sunday. Frankfurt, meanwhile, sit 11th in the table after a rough patch that has seen them lose three of four league matches, including a 2-1 game at Bayern Munich last weekend. They were also dumped from the German Cup on Wednesday by Bayern in a 4-0 thrashing. Injuries are not a major factor for either side in this game. Frankfurt are without Ioannis Amanatidis and Markus Pröll, but have a full side otherwise. The only absences for Bochum will be Philipp Bönig, who has missed the last several games. The visiting team in this series has won just once in 14 meetings (Bochum 3-0 in April 2007), so it would be wise to eye Frankfurt in this one. Bochum will be right in the thick of the relegation race for the rest of the season. REVIEW:
