CD Tenerife vs. Sevilla Fútbol Club, 1:2

Luke Williams - 21 Nov 2009
Sevilla look to keep pace with the big two in La Liga on Saturday when they travel to the Canary Islands to take on Tenerife. Sevilla sit third on 22 points - four adrift of leaders Barcelona - in the league standings, and they come back from the international break after a 3-2 win over Villarreal two weeks ago that moved them into that position. Tenerife, on the other hand, drew 2-2 at home against bottom side Málaga a fortnight ago, and the islanders sit just three points above the drop zone going into the 11th round of games. The home side will not have Alejandro Alfaro available for the match against Sevilla, as his loan deal from the visitors precludes him from appearing. Daniel Kome is the only known injury concern for Tenerife. Sevilla, meanwhile, are once again without first-choice goalkeeper Andrés Palop due to injury, and Adriano is out after international duty. Ivica Dragutinovic is also set to miss out for the visitors. While the trip to the islands is a long one that has produced mixed results for visitors this season, Sevilla have not lost to Tenerife since 1996. That record should not change on Saturday. REVIEW:
