Tenerife look to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone on Sunday when they play host to Sporting Gijón in the Canary Islands.
Tenerife sit 17th, four points clear of the bottom three, but can move further out with a victory. Last week they came from three goals down to earn a thrilling 3-3 draw at Valladolid, but they have now gone four matches without a league victory.
Sporting, meanwhile, could move up from their spot in seventh place if they can grab just their second victory away from home this season. After last week's 1-0 victory over Villarreal, they are unbeaten in seven consecutive La Liga matches. History is also on the side of Sporting in this one, as they have won four of their last five matches at Tenerife.
For Tenerife manager José Luis Oltra, Cameroon striker Daniel Kome will miss out yet again with a leg injury, and both Ezequiel Luna and Carlos Bellvís are suspended for the game.
Sporting coach Manuel Preciado has a fully-fit squad, with only Iván Cuéllar set to miss out due to injury. Mate Bilic also returns to the squad in attack.
Most trips to the Canary Islands are trouble for visiting teams, but Sporting are in form and have always performed well at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López. Sporting are favorites to grab points in this one.
