Fresh off a promising performance in the Champions League, VfB Stuttgart look to win in the Bundesliga for the first time in five games on Saturday when they travel to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Stuttgart drew 1-1 away to to Sevilla on Wednesday, but they were held 0-0 at home by Bayern Munich last weekend. The last win for Markus Babbel's sputtering side came on 26 September at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Gladbach, meanwhile, snapped a six-game winless run in the league last weekend with a shocking 3-2 victory away to previously-unbeaten Hamburg. Goals by Dante and Rob Friend sparked a comeback with just 14 minutes to play.
Gladbach manager Michael Frontzeck will be without Raúl Bobadilla (shoulder) and Christian Dorda (knee) due to injuries for Saturday's game.
Stuttgart, on the other hand, are without Mexican defender Ricardo Osorio, Serdar Tasci, and the suspended Timo Gebhart, who picked up his fifth yellow of the season against Bayern.
Stuttgart will be feeling a bit better about themselves after a hard-fought draw with Sevilla, and it will not be out of the question for them to win on Saturday away from home.
