BV Borussia 09 Dortmund vs. 1. FSV Mainz 05, 0:0

Luke Williams - 21 Nov 2009
Mainz look to continue their surprising run in the Bundesliga on Saturday with a tricky road test away to Borussia Dortmund. Mainz have stunned all of Germany as they sit sixth in the league table through 12 games this season, and they left German play two weeks ago with a 1-0 victory over Nürnberg. They currently sit just five points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Dortmund, meanwhile, sit a further four points back in the table in ninth place, coming off a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen before the international break. They have not lost in their last five league outings. Jürgen Klopp's Dortmuind side have several injuries heading into the match. Dede is lost for the season with a knee injury, Sven Bender is out with a muscle problem, and Tamas Hajnal remains out of action. Tinga also continues to miss out with an abdominal problem. Mainz are without the services of Dimo Wache (knee) once again, and Zsolt Löw is suspended for yellow card accumulation. Dragan Bogavac and Felix Borja are also set to miss out. This should be a very intriguing tie as both sides have a lot to play for in terms of their chase for the season. A draw could be a fair result as these sides should share the possession for much of the game. REVIEW:
