BV Borussia 09 Dortmund vs. 1. FC Nürnberg, :

Luke Williams - 5 Dec 2009
Borussia Dortmund look forward to continue their winning form as they host struggling Nurnberg tomorrow at Signal-Iduna-Park. Dortmund have not lost in seven matches, drawing with the top two Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen and beating sixth-placed Hoffenheim last weekend. That run has propelled them to ninth in the table, four points behind the top three, and Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp believes it is down to the club's fans to lift his team to the next level. Nurnberg are a side who somehow are in good form when they are pitted against better teams but lose their feet when they face fellow strugglers. The statistics speak for itself with Nurnberg losing to teams like Freiburg and Bochum, yet beating Wolfsburg and drawing with Bremen. Nelson Valdez is again a candidate for Dortmund after missing the trip to Hoffenheim. Marek Mintal could return for the visitors, but they are still without their suspended goalkeeper Raphael Schafer, who will also miss Nurnberg's penultimate game of 2009 against Hamburg next weekend.
