Arsenal FC vs. FC Dynamo Kyiv, 1:0

Luke Williams - 25 Nov 2008
If Arsenal beat Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday, the Gunners would be through to the next round. In case of defeat though, anything would still be possible in Group G. The other meeting between these two teams in this year's group phase ended in a 1-1 draw in Ukraine with former skipper William Gallas netting a late equaliser. Arsene Wenger has some serious injury worries as Walcott, Da Silva, Diaby, Nasri, Toure, Eboue and Rosicky are all sidelined for this game. Dynamo have less to worry about as most players are fit to make an appearance. REVIEW: A late goal from Nicklas Bendtner against Dynamo Kyiv earned Arsenal a spot in the second round of the Champions League. A brave Dynamo Kyiv side almost held the Londoners to a goalless draw at Emirates Stadium but the hosts did finally take the lead with three minutes to go in regular time. A great pass from Spaniard Cesc Fabregas enabled Bendtner to lash a shot past keeper Bogush for 1-0. Arsenal are now certain of finishing in the top two but do still have to defend their top spot against FC Porto in the last game. Dynamo Kyiv need a draw with Fenerbahçe to reach the UEFA Cup.
