Advanced techniques and terminology-Multiples
A new addition to the Betfair product range is Multiples, often called Accumulators by bookmakers. We've made them a lot more advanced with more choices. You can back a leg, lay a leg, back the whole bet or lay the whole bet, and at the better odds you expect on Betfair.
To bet on Multiples, click on the Multiples tab on the blue header directly below the Betfair logo. You can choose a maximum of eight selections and then string them together in any combination you like, for any stake - it need not be the same for every bet. Minimum bet across the whole multiple (and all the combinations) is £2 so you can have many bets going for you for a tiny stake.
Bookies love punters who bet on accumulators and multiples - the margin in favour of the bookie is multiplied for every additional leg you take. At Betfair, the original market will be close to 100%, so you'll be much better off. Commission on Multiples markets is a flat 5%.
